We say goodbye, I say Hello!!!!

I took a decision...
I have 2 blogs, one in french and this one.
And I'm not talking about my store's blog, yep another one...
So as I was MIA for almost all 2010 and I do know it will be the same in 2011, I had to take a decision.... kind of hard...
I am too busy to take care of 2 blogs so I will keep my french one and will write in both languages.

I invite you to come, take a look, and become a member if you would like to and I promise I'll share a lot of cards all year long in 2011.

Here the link!

See you there!!!!!

MIA....

Sorry, was MIA for a while...
We had great weather for our vacations, hot! hot! hot! So we played in the pool!!!
We'll keep our tradition: always put the vacation on the second week of August.
Why not take another week? 12 years of good timing is enough to convice us now! LOL

Well, its back to school time soon...
My daughter will be back to school on August 28.
Weird idea to begin school on friday, isn'it?
Summer holiday was too short... Its like we didn't had time to do nothing... awww...

I'm still working on few projects and even if I have little troubles, I'll stay positive! I should be back soon and tell you more about it.

Its Back to School time at Forum Boutique Pop-Art too!
We are taking inscriptions for cards exchange. Monthly Challenge are online too!
Early september we'll offer some great preorders for stamps lovers and pergamano crafters. Even if its in french don't be shy and take a look!

An update...

A quick post to tell you that I'm still alive!
Lots of things happened lately and I unfortunately did not post anything here since then.
To explain a little, I'm now a DT Member of a forum in french: PopArt! I am very happy about it! Thats mean giving challenge and show tips about cardmaking, once a week. I even tried to make a card sketch using Photoshop... Thanks Hubby!
I show you:

What do you think about it? Oh and if you make a card inspired by my sketch why don't you tell me about it? Would love to see it!

I'm also a new proud member of Etsy Greetings! Wow! so much things to read about on the group page! I'll try very hard to participate in different projects and advertising.
I'll keep you posted as I'm really excited about it!

Also I did not do any Easter cards yet... oh my... I so very hope I'll find time... this week... I have to find time!
I'm working also on my Blog Candy giveaway for my first blog anniversary... only 32 days to go...

Well, very busy as you can see... Thats didn't give me the time to do challenge like the Cuttlebug Challenge or Penny Black Saturday Challenge. But I'll be back!
Have a great week everybody!

2008 is almost over...

Are you ready for 2009?
With lots of great resolutions?
I think I'm ready...
With the last busy weeks of 2008, yes I think I am.
2009 will be very good, I feel it! :o)
I've been sick like never before the week before Christmas, so nothing seems to be worst than that! LOL
Seriously, I don't know how I did to be ready for Christmas in time!
Thats why I did not send Christmas wishes here on my blog and why no more Christmas cards were shown...
I was dead! LOL

But now I'm back and here are my wishes:

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2009 to everyone who read my blog! Thanks!
Wish you HEALTH, HAPPINESS, MONEY and FREE TIME TO PLAY IN YOUR SCRAPROOM!!!!!!

I'm sorry but I have an excuse!

Hi all! Didn't take me too long to miss a week huh?
I did not post any Christmas card last week... but I was really busy for my daughter's 10 birthday: High School Musical 3 movie and party!
The girls had a lot of fun. Oh and, Zac is a lucky guy to have so much fans! lol
Here a pic of the invitation cards we sent for the party:

And some toppers for the cupcakes:

I did not realized that I should have done more Troy and Gabriella toppers... All the girls were hoping to pick one with them!

You can see in the pic that we even bought basketball plates...
Well the girls had fun I think, and we, parents, do too!
It was a really cool saturday afternoon!

I'll be back later today or tomorrow to show you 2 Christmas cards, promise!

Sometime, we need just a little thing...

A little thing to give you a go!

Let me try to explain with my poor english:
Sometimes I feel its hard to keep on writing my blog because I feel nobody really read it...
Comments give a direct feedback from readers and even if I shouldn't say people are not reading because I don't have lots of comments, its sad not knowing if there is regular visitors or not...

All that to say I had a surprise to see someone put my blog on her Newly Discovered Blogs post!!! Thats enough for me to keep on writing and showing my stuff! Yeah, I have a lack of confidence.... (thats the right expression???)

So thanks Allison, very much appreciated!!!
Oh and, dear readers, thanks for being here!

ps don't forget to look at the fab creations by Allyson!

Some cool blogs to share!

Who can sit in front of their computer without surfing a long long time in blogworld?
How many time I thought: wow so much talent! I feel like I'm not doing as much quality cards as all the talented girls I saw on the net...
Well, take a look at this blog: Jana Miller make beautiful cards! Wish I could have as much talent as her! I discovered her blog while reading Card of the Week page. I love this site full of links to tutorials and tips. Thanks to Susanna Boyd!!!!!

Crafty Monkeys... how fab!

Tonight I want to share with you a new challenge blog by 2 young cardmakers: Crafty Monkeys. Its a blog for cardmakers up to the age of 16. My daughter was so excited when I told her about it! She made her card for the "wild animal" challenge in a blink of an eye! You can see her card here!

Pay it Forward!

My friend Diana at Art and Scrap found this idea from another blogger and I decided to give it a go too!

Lets Pay it Forward!
Lets spread the message!

I will do the same as all my fellow crafter-bloggers, lets see how far we can get!
This idea is not mine, comes from here
I am just spreading the news: Here's how it works:

- anyone with a blog can join.
- the first three people to leave a comment on this post will receive a handmade gift from me.
- I will send your gift within 365 days.
- in return, you have to pay it forward by making the same promise on your blog.

See how easy that is?
And if you don't have a blog, here's some goodness for you, too:
The first 3 people without a blog that leave me a comment will also receive a handmade gift from me within 365 days.
In return, you must tell me (in your comment) what nice thing you will make for someone this year.
Tell me what you will make and who will receive it.

Something for everyone! I love satisfied customers!
And it's been far too long since I've seen one, so this should be fun.
Make sure you include an email address in your post so I can get in touch with you to find out where to send your handmade gift.

Ready? Lets start!Let the comments begin!

So c'mon! Join us and lets meet new friends!!!!!
Oh and I bet I will send the goodies way much faster than within 365 days! lol

Well Said!!!!

While surfing the blogworld, I found something that make me smile a lot....

We all, cardmaker lovers, should have this text on our scraproom wall!
Thanks to Lisa Somerville for sharing this!
You can find her blog HERE.

A Cardmaker delivers the most welcome kind of unannounced visitor: A handmade card.
A card touches us - somehow, a small folded piece of paper can comfort, celebrate, reach out or just say hello.
Creating a handmade card is an honorable and important task.
As a Cardmaker, you are entitled (but not limited) to the following rights:

You have the right to take as long as you want to complete one handmade card. This may be five minutes or two weeks.

You have the right to send a card for no other reason than to show off your new stamp, embellishment or technique.

You have the right to create a fabulous card for your husband, partner or roommate - just because you know it will stay in your house.

You have the right to spread your cardmaking things out all over, just to admire them.

You have the right to purchase a certain cardmaking item for no other reason than because a) you like it; b) you think it's cute; c) you'll never find it again, or; d) you know you'll use it someday.

You have the right to reserve using your most precious supplies on cards only for recipients who will truly appreciate them.

You have the right to a workspace of your own. This may be the basement, your college student's old bedroom or the kitchen table.

You have the right to make cards when inspiration strikes - whether the dishes are done or not.

You have the right to request peaceful, kid-free, stress-less cardmaking time - guilt-free.

You have the right to let the handmade card be the gift, too.

You have the right to value your personal style.

You are creating a treasure - and part of that treasure is you.

What do you think about it? Very Nice, no?

Here I am for my english speaking friends!!!

Hi!

Welcome to my blog about my cardmaking!
I will post here some of my creations and please, don't be shy to write a comment!

Ok. Everyone who know me will know I am a busy bee...
And may ask themselves if I will be able to keep this blog running...
Mmmm.... I'm asking myself the same question! LOL

But as my website is in french, some of you asked me to translate a bite of it from time to time.
So I decided to write here the updates of my site and also the essential things to know to order some greeting cards. I'm working on having my website in english too but remember: I am not bilingual! May take some time to have it done.

Keep in mind that the only way to purchase a card via the net is via my website with the Paypal button (will upgrade this very soon!). Otherwise, you have to email me: ahlacarte@mediom.com to make your order.

You can also visit my Etsy but not all my cards are there....

Hope to hear from you!!!!!!!!!!
