I want you to forgive me so....

...I show you the slideshow of almost all the Christmas cards I made this year and some from last year.

2008 is almost over...

Are you ready for 2009?
With lots of great resolutions?
I think I'm ready...
With the last busy weeks of 2008, yes I think I am.
2009 will be very good, I feel it! :o)
I've been sick like never before the week before Christmas, so nothing seems to be worst than that! LOL
Seriously, I don't know how I did to be ready for Christmas in time!
Thats why I did not send Christmas wishes here on my blog and why no more Christmas cards were shown...
I was dead! LOL

But now I'm back and here are my wishes:

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2009 to everyone who read my blog! Thanks!
Wish you HEALTH, HAPPINESS, MONEY and FREE TIME TO PLAY IN YOUR SCRAPROOM!!!!!!

Snowman watching the sky...

Hi all! Christmas is near! Almost just one week to go!
Are you ready? All your cards are sent? Mine are all in the post, except one!
Will send this cute Snowman watching the sky to my best friend this week.
I don't think she'll read my blog on this busy time of the year so I think I can show you! Well... fingers crossed!!! LOL

I found this idea within the Christmas booklet I received with my PaperCraft Inspirations magazine last Christmas if I remember right... You only need cardstock, round and snowflake punches in different sizes and you'll need to cut a triangle for the nose. Add a Christmas wish and here's a cute card to send to friends and family!

Snow Something Challenge

I love the blog "Stamp Something". There's a lot of great crafters and cardmakers there and lots of inspiration!
I think its the first time I play with one of their challenge.
This week is to make something with snow...
I hope the card I show earlier today is OK for that challenge...
Lets hope!

Snowflakes and Gems

As my week is full of things other than cardmaking (awww....) here is another very quick post.
The card I share with you today is a card I made using a sketch from a challenge on my friend Pop-Art's Forum.

I used patterned papers (from American Traditional Designs -Snow Day Collection), clear stamp by Inkadinkado -Winter Trails set, gems, snowflakes brads, sentiment stamp from SU and I draw the stitches using my Soufflé pencil. I like the result.

Lets hope I'm in a good mood for quick post... this way I'm sure I share card with you! Have a fab day!

I used my scalloped punch, flowers, some gems and (again!) sticker.
I'll come back to share another card, right after doing some shoveling cause we received a lot of snow since yesterday...

Penny Black Saturday Challenge #25

Time flies... I know, I already said it few minutes ago... lol
If I could have 1 hour more in a day I would join challenges. Lots of challenges!!!
Penny Black Saturday Challenge is one of my fav...
Wish I could join more often.
Anyway, here's my participation for this week: No patterned paper.

I used Cuttlebug Embossing Folder, PB sticker, ribbon and plastic dots.

I told you...

LOL I think I know myself right...
I was sure I would have trouble posting 1 or 2 Christmas cards by week, not enough time to be online...
OMG time flies!!!!
Between cardmaking and houseworks, gifts lists and laundry... HELP!!!!
Well, anyway, here's a card! LOL

I used Cuttlebug Embossing Folder, ribbon, mini gems and Gingerbread Man sticker and HOP! A big cookie... lol Looks like Goglu cookie... LOL

My Christmas Cards... finally!

November and December are the busiest time of the year for me and for a lot of you I'm sure! Making cards, buying gifts, decorations for the home and the Christmas tree and so much more!
I have difficulty to save time to be online all year long, imagine when Holidays are near...
Well anyway, I'm here today to share 2 Christmas Cards and I'm hoping to share some next week.

The first one is a simple one (Yes I love simplicity!). I used my envelope scorer to do the embossed lines, added a patterned paper and put 3 scalloped circle with glitter stickers. I added gems on each gift stickers. This year I made matched gift tags with most of the cards I sell. People loved the idea!

The second card is my first one of the season. I used an embossing folder from Cuttlebug, patterned paper, ribbon, snowman sticker and square gems. Again, I made a matching gift tag.
Both cards were gone as soon as I showed them! That's cool! And its why I'm still doing Christmas cards each year... I love working in my little craftroom, its relaxing... When someone buy me a card its just a great feeling. If only I could manage to find more time... Anyone with good tips?

I'm sorry but I have an excuse!

Hi all! Didn't take me too long to miss a week huh?
I did not post any Christmas card last week... but I was really busy for my daughter's 10 birthday: High School Musical 3 movie and party!
The girls had a lot of fun. Oh and, Zac is a lucky guy to have so much fans! lol
Here a pic of the invitation cards we sent for the party:

And some toppers for the cupcakes:

I did not realized that I should have done more Troy and Gabriella toppers... All the girls were hoping to pick one with them!

You can see in the pic that we even bought basketball plates...
Well the girls had fun I think, and we, parents, do too!
It was a really cool saturday afternoon!

I'll be back later today or tomorrow to show you 2 Christmas cards, promise!

Sneak Attack!

Yes... yesterday I was attacked. But how cool is this!
Let me explain:
All my friends and regular readers know about my Etsy Store and how I find it hard to be known on the net. Sometimes I prefer to sell my cards to friends and family instead of showing them on Etsy because after more than 1 year at Etsy I have no sales yet.
Yesterday, early before dinner, I looked at my Outlook account and saw 1, no 2, oh sorry 3 and 4 sales from my Etsy store... Immediately I thought it was spams because the first message told: Hi there, you are being sneak attacked!
I then go to my Etsy Account to finally realized it was true! I sold 6 items in few hours!!! I was sooo excited!!!
But hey! how this happened? Its called SNEAK ATTACK and its a cool idea from this site: The Handmade Movement. Here is their definition of an attack: "What's a Sneak Attack? Every weekday at an appointed time, an Etsy shop with few or no sales is announce on this site. As many people as possible then buy items from that shop, resulting in a frenzy of surprise business to the unsuspecting shop! Want to join in? I bet you do! Read on..."
Surprise they wrote? Oh YES! But to be part of an attack you have to be choose by someone. And my someone is Vianney from Galacards. Thanks so much Vianney!!! And hey dear readers, please go to her shop and buy something too!!!
Again thanks so much for this incredible attack guys!
It was so much appreciated, believe me!
Now I'm off: need to get the orders well packed and shipped!!!!
Have a great Day!!!!!

Santa

Hi all!!! I hope you're all doing fine and enjoying doing Christmas cards!
My Christmas card of the week is one with Santa this time.
Its an easy easy one but often it is the most effective card, isn't it?

I only used cardstock and bits of patterned paper and Christmas tree brad.
The Santa is from a publicity, thats calling recycling!
I loved this image and thought I could do something with it... Ta Da!!!

A little Angel told me...

... that Christmas is in less than 2 months!!!
(sorry for my english don't even sure I can say it like this! lol)
So its Christmas cards season! I made several cards yet and I'll try to show you one or two by week until Christmas. If I have time to show you more then thats cool but you know I'm not often online so 1 or 2 seems Ok for me! :o)

The first one is a little Angel, yeah, its the one who told me about Christmas...

I choose patterned paper from Rusty Pickle, Angel 3D sticker mounted on cardstock and used my Nestabilities Classic Ovals by Spellbinders.

Any characters with cute smile like this: I just can't resist! And I have to confess I fell in love easily with cute snowman and penguin, oh and gingerbread man and polar bear... lol
So be back often if you wanna see some cute little face on my cards!

Etsy is a great place to sell handmade things but I have to confess its hard to find the first buyer... I know I must put more and more cards in my shop but life is keeping me busy in so much ways... But I know I will make it one day!!!
Anyway, until then I am just happy to be featured in the Treasury Page "Canadian BW with Flourish"!!!! That mean something no?! Its only for two days but who knows? :o) And that make my day!!! No! My week!!! :o)

Diary Project 2009 by Fantazya... All Ready for the New Year!

Remember the Diary 2009 Project by Fantazya? I had it in my hands since few weeks now and took me a while to decide how to decorate it! But one thing for sure: I absolutely LOVE it! Can't wait to visit each crafter web page and, why not, do some shopping!
Let me show you some pics:

I choose to put on the cover of my diary my fav paper of the moment (I told you!) from K and Company. I put flowers and velvet brad, some glitter numbers and ribbon. I also made a little bookmark with the same paper, ribbon and some flowers and gems.

You can see on the picture my first page for the diary. Well, took me a while to do all the doodling for this! Looks good, I'm proud of it! :o) My second page is great too but I couldn't take a good picture of it... It looks like I put nothing on the page!!! LOL But I did! There are big flowers all around the page. I'll try to take a better pic soon!

Its all for now! Still working on some christmas cards and also on stuff for my daughter's 10 birthday: A High School Musical 3 theme party! Will show you!!!
Have a good day!!!!!

Some cards to share...

As winter is near (yes, it is...) I need to work a lot in the garden to get everything ready for the snow. Last year we had our first big snowstorm on november 22...! So working outside mean less time in my scraproom!
I wanted to share with you today two birthday cards I made.

The first one is made with a paper I really love (you'll see it often within the next few days on my blog...) its a paper from K and Company from one of their Paper Organizer Set. I used my Stylized Flowers embossing folder from Cuttlebug with white cardstock. Also, the simple flower sticker is mounted on cardstock cut with my Nestabilities Die Cut from SpellBinders, both inked with Cats Eye Charcoal Chalk Inkpad. I added ribbon and plastic dots. I'm in love with Cuttlebug Embossing folders... aww not so long ago I used to emboss my design manually and it could take a long time to have a perfect image...

The second card is very simple. I used a K and Company patterned paper from the same collection as the first card. I simply cut 3 rectangles and matted them on kaki cardstock. I used my scalloped punch with the same kaki cardstock, added a little circle from the patterned paper and finally stick a silver butterfly embellishment. Oh! and inked everything with brown Cat's Eye Ink Pad. For sure you see a greeting in french as english is not my primary language...
So thats it for today! I will come back to show you something else made with my favorite paper soon! And also I made some christmas cards too!

Sometime, we need just a little thing...

A little thing to give you a go!

Let me try to explain with my poor english:
Sometimes I feel its hard to keep on writing my blog because I feel nobody really read it...
Comments give a direct feedback from readers and even if I shouldn't say people are not reading because I don't have lots of comments, its sad not knowing if there is regular visitors or not...

All that to say I had a surprise to see someone put my blog on her Newly Discovered Blogs post!!! Thats enough for me to keep on writing and showing my stuff! Yeah, I have a lack of confidence.... (thats the right expression???)

So thanks Allison, very much appreciated!!!
Oh and, dear readers, thanks for being here!

ps don't forget to look at the fab creations by Allyson!

Some new cards... and a link to a great designer: Marieke Vermeulen

I needed some cards this past weeks and I worked hard! LOL
I tried to match cards with challenge to give me a chance because time flies so fast!
I can't realize its almost... Christmas! LOL
We all, cardmakers, know we need to make our Christmas cards early, I know you'll understand me!
Well, here's some cards I made:

This one was for a challenge on Scrap aux Puces. We had to follow a sketch. I used K & Company patterned paper "Fruit Stripe", Strawberry Cut Out (by a great designer Marieke Vermeulen, you HAVE to take a look at her work! See her Etsy store or her blog) mounted on scalloped circles and ribbon. I added some mini plastic dots.

I needed a card for a new baby too! A little boy! I made 3 cards and Mamy choose this one:

I used patterned paper (don't know the company name sorry) and sticker. I am addicted to stickers I think. Its the best when you don't have enough time to stamp or emboss. Or if you don't have the right image or stamp. I can't resist buying cute stickers!

Finally, I made a card for a rock music lover! And a drums player too! It fits another challenge on Scrap aux Puces... Again I used sticker! The drums set is by EK Success. I added musical note brad for the final touch. The brick paper looked cool when I saw it at the dollar store... I love the result!

So its all for now!
Wish you all a GREAT weekend!

Free Shipping at my Etsy Shop!!!

To celebrate my first year on Etsy, I'm offering free shipping for one week starting on september 11!

It wasn't a big year on Etsy for me (I'll stay positive...!) as a lot of my greeting cards never made it through the store: friends and family bought them before I could do that move! LOL
But anyway I want to celebrate!

Penny Black Saturday Challenge #10

I missed #9 challenge, was on vacation. I can't wait to try a card with a sketch!
This time its to make something with ribbon.... I love ribbon!
That's an easy one at Penny Black Saturday Challenge this week.
So here's my card with a clear stamp from the "Critter Party" set.

I inked the edge of my scalloped circle with Staz On Jet Black Ink and add some colors with my Prismacolor (can't wait to try them with a solvant, saw this a few time on blog world...) This is a simple card but I think the result is not so bad.

Next week is back to school days for my daughter... Lets hope I'll have enough time to make the next Pb challenge!
